things his way—not as a slave before a master, but as a beloved son before a just father. We can experience within our hearts, minds, and souls what St. Paul calls the “freedom of the sons of God” (see Rom 8:21) by giving ourselves to the Father. As we do this, we become beloved sons with Jesus. This is true freedom—the freedom from sin and guilt that allows us to become real men of God.
